Selene Goddess Pendant

Selene is the Greek Goddess of the Full Moon. Selene is at the height of her reproductive potential and represents womanhood. Earth Mother, in whom life can be reborn, where seeds germinate and produce new crops, and the Mother Goddess was also able to bring forth new life. Selene, is the fruitful mother, the Star Goddess, the Sky Goddess, the keeper of the silver wheel of stars, is honoured at the Full Moon and the days of the full and new moon were set aside for her worship.

Selene is closely identified with Artemis and Hecate, both are moon goddesses. It is said that this was the one the Triple Goddess Hecate honored when she was in the realm of heaven.

My Selene Spiral Goddesses are cast pewter with metallic finishes. Each comes on three satin/organza ribbons with an additional cast metal spiral bead which functions as a slider to adjust the length and also symbolizes the full moon over her head. Size 2" long.
