Selene Goddess Necklace

Selene is the Greek Goddess of the Full Moon. She is at the height of her reproductive potential and represents womanhood. Earth Mother, in whom life can be reborn, where seeds germinate and produce new crops, and the Mother Goddess was also able to bring forth new life. Selene, is the fruitful mother, the Star Goddess, the Sky Goddess, the keeper of the silver wheel of stars, is honoured at the Full Moon and the days of the full and new moon were set aside for her worship.

Selene is often closely identified with Artemis and Hecate, both of whom are moon goddesses as well. It is said that this was the one the Triple Goddess Hecate was honored by when she was in the realm of heaven.

This Gold Selene Necklace is strung with handmade spiral glass beads with gold foil centers, pewter spiral beads with gold finish and czech glass beads. Pendant is 2" long, necklace is an 18" strand. Clasp is brass double hook.
