Freya (or Frayja, Freyja) is the Queen of the Valkyries and has considerable power.. She is the goddess of love, beauty, marriage and wealth - associated with divination, sexual freedom, passion, and seidr (Norse magic and shamanism). Freya the Norse equivalent to the Greek Goddess of Love, Aphrodite.

Freya, in Norse Mythology, is sister to Frey (the Norse fertility god) and they are both the children of Njord. She is the wife of the mysterious Norse god Od. She was often called upon to comfort those who are dying, to ease their transition into Valhalla (the "otherworld"), serving as a guide and companion on the journey to Valhalla.

My Freya goddess pendant is wrapped with sterling silver wire and is adorned with three amethyst gemstones. Glaze is an medium purple with a mother-of-pearl finish. The Freya necklace is strung with czech glass and sterling silver and pewter beads.
